LADY BETTY WEMYSS. Scottish, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest appearence of this tune in print in Robert Bremner's 1757 collection (p. 21). James C. Dick (1903), in The Songs of Robert Burns, states that melodic material from "Lady Betty Wemmyss" and the strathspey "Stumpie/Stumpey." cover the "same subject."
