LADY BELHAVEN('S). AKA and see "Miss McDonald's (3)," "Miss Pensy MacDonald," "Spinning Wheel (The)." Scottish, Reel. G Major/Mixolydian (Cole): G Mixolydian (Athole). Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Cole): AABB' (Athole). A 'double-tonic' pipe reel. Penelope "Pensy" MacDonald (d. 1816), youngest daughter of Ronald MacDonald of Clanranald and Flora Mackinnon, married William Hamilton of Wishaw (1765-1814), 7th Lord Belhaven and Stenton, in 1789.
