COUNTRY DANCE--BY SHIELDS. English, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "The Fashionable Lover" was crossed out in the original MS. by Vickers (Seattle). William Shields (1749-1829) was a theatre composer of the later 18th century, renowned in his lifetime.
