MISS PRIMROSE. Scottish, Strathspey. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by J. Scott Skinner (1843-1927), published in his Harp and Claymore and Scottish Violinist collections in the first years of the 20th century. Skinner's manuscript copy [1] seems to suggest that "Miss Primrose" was his pet name for his "favorite Violin made by Mr Beveridge, Tough." Tough is in Aberdeenshire
