LADY'S DISAPPOINTMENT, THE. American, Jig. USA, southwestern Pa. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Bayard (1981) believes it is a possible variation of "O Dear Mother My Toes Are Sore", and thus perhaps related to the "Welcome Home (3)" tune family.

Source for notated version: Homer Edinger (elderly fiddler from Armstrong County, Pa., 1954) [Bayard].

Printed sources: Bayard (Dance to the Fiddle), 1981; No. 585, p. 516.
