LAND OF SUNSHINE, THE. AKA and see "John Bowe's (3)." Irish, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Bill Black (1996) notes the tune was composed by Martin Mulhare shortly after his arrival in America. The tune is sometimes called "John Bowe's (3)," after the B/C accordion player originally from Birr, Co. Offaly, in England since 1965. Similarly, it has been called "Finbarr Dwyer's (5)" after another accordion player.
