LASS OF CARRACASTLE, THE. AKA and see "Lady Mary Montague," "Miss Langford," "Morrison's." Irish, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Carracastle is a town in County Mayo, near the border with Sligo and Roscommon. The composition has been credited to Paddy Sweeney, who recorded it in 1934. A few months later the same tune was recorded by James Morrison under the "Miss Langford" title.
