LEATHER APRON. AKA and see "Oh How They Frisk It," "Under the Greenwood Tree." English, Air (6/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. A song composed by Charles Coffey, 1731, from his opera The Devil to Pay, or The Wives Metamorphos'd. The melody (as "Under the Greenwood Tree") appeared in common time in Playford's Dancing Master of 1686.
