LIGHT IN DENNIS MUNION'S, THE. Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by County Cavan/Philadelphia fiddle player and composer Ed Reavy (1898-1988). Munion was a neighbor of Reavy's Aunt Ann in County Cavan, a woman blessed with keen eyesight. When Reavy and his brothers would walk her home in the evening, Ann would remark the she could always tell what time it was "by the light in Dennis Munion's window" (Joseph Reavy), and spied it before the boys did.
