LIEUTENANT COLONEL BAILLIE OF LEYS. Scottish, Strathspey. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Lieutenant Colonel Baillie of Leys (d. 1833) was an Anglo-Indian officer who served briefly as a Member of Parliament in 1832 for the district of burghs. He was also recorded as having been a "director of the East India Company". The estate of Leys is near Inverness, Scotland.
