ERCHLESS CASTLE MARCH. AKA - "Chisholm's Castle." Scottish, Bagpipe March (2/4 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). Erchless Castle was once seat of the Clan Chisholm. The march was one of the tunes in the Long Reveille used by the pipers of the 42nd Highlanders in 1853, a format which differs from regiment to regiment. In the case of the Black Watch (42nd) it consists of "Sodgers Return (The)", "Granny Duncan", "Sae Will We Yet", "Granny Duncan", "Miss Gridle", "Erchless Castle", and "Johnnie Cope".
