MISS CHRISTY NICHOLSON. Canadian, Strathspey. Canada, Cape Breton. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Cape Breton fiddler Ronald MacLellan (1918-2004), who was one of the most famous exponents of old-style Cape Breton fiddling. He came from a musical family: his sister Theresa MacLellan is also a renowned Cape Breton musician, and his father Big Donald MacLellan was similarly influential among fiddlers of his generation (such as Dan R. MacDonald, Bill Lamey and Donald Angus Beaton).
