Colonel Boyle of Shewalton
COLONEL BOYLE OF SHEWALTON. Scottish, Jig. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB. Composed by Nathaniel Gow (1763-1831). Colonel John Boyle, a country gentleman from the estate of Shewalton, Ayrshire, was brother to David Boyle, an advocate and Lord Justice-General. He was Colonel of the Ayrshire militia, and died unmarried in 1837.
