MISS HAY OF HAYSTON'S REEL. AKA and see: "Mrs. Hay of Hayston's Favorite." Scottish. Composed by Neil Gow, junior (1795-1823), the son of Nathaniel and grandson of Niel Gow (who spelled his first name differently). A keen amateur musician, he entered the medical profession but died at the early age of 28.
