LOUGH SHEELING [2] (Loc Saileann). AKA and see "Adieu My Loved Harp," "Come Rest in This Bosom," "Bridget O'Malley." Irish, Slow Air (3/4 time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. This air is an old harp melody used by Thomas Moore for his song "Come Rest in this Bosom." Francis O'Neill, writing in Irish Folk Music, a Fascinating Hobby (p. 132), remarks that the air is a variant of "O Arranmore Loved Arranmore," and P.W. Joyce prints a variant as the air of the song "Molly Bawn."
