QUICK MARCH OF THE 2nd BATTALION OF ROYALS. English, March (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Although specifics about this unit are not known, James Aird dedicated his compilation to the various ‘volunteer and defensive bands’, a reference to the British militia units locally raised for defense of the home islands during the wars with the French.
