DUKE OF ATHOLL'S MARCH [2] (S, fhada mar so tha finn). Scottish, Pibroch (whole time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The tune was printed by Daniel (sometimes Donald) Dow in his A collection of ancient Scots music for the violin, harpsichord or German flute, never before printed consisting of ports, salutations, marches or piobrachs, printed in Edinburgh c. 1778 (although various dates are given, including 1775 and 1776).
