VILLAGE OF CONG, THE. Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by County Cavan/Philadelphia fiddle player and composer Ed Reavy (1898-1988). Cong was the village setting of John Ford’s famous movie “The Quiet Man,” starring John Wayne (as Sean Thornton) and Victor McLaglin (as Squire Danaher).
