MAID IN THE MOON [1], THE. AKA and see "All in a Garden Green." English, Country Dance Tune (2/2 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was published by London publisher John Playford in his Dancing Master, 4th edition (1670), and was retained in the long-running series through the 8th edition of 1690 (then published by John's son, Henry Playford).
