MAJOR ERSKINE'S MINUET. Scottish, Minuet (3/4 time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). The melody appears in James Gillespie's 1768 manuscript, commonly referred to as the Duke of Perth manuscript or the Drummond Castle manuscript. Gillespie included another minuet in the same collection called "Lady Belly Erskine's Minuet", so perhaps the persons of the title were related.
