MAN IN THE MOON [4], THE. English, Waltz. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. It is not known where source Tester got the tune. All versions are sourced to him. Some see similarities with the morris tune "Maid of the Mill," if the latter is set in 3/4 time. Source for notated version: anglo concertina player Scan Tester (1887-1972, Sussex), recorded in 1957 by Mervyn Plunkett [Callaghan]. Callaghan (Hardcore English), 2007; p. 85.
