MARCH 3rd REGT. DRAGOON GUARDS. English, Scottish; March (4/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. One of many martial tunes in Glasgow publisher James Aird's collections. The 3rd Dragoon Guards was a regiment raised in 1685 to curb Monmouth's rebellion, and served on the Continent in the mid-18th century. See the Wikipedia article [1] for more on the unit.
