MARCHING QUADRILLE. Old-Time, Quadrille (6/8 time). USA, Nebraska. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. According to Christeson's source, Nebraska fiddler Bob Walters (), family tradition had it that this tune was used in the Civil War. Christeson thought the tune was derived from the Scottish "Muckin' o' Geordie's Byre," and identified that it was also one of the strains in "Grandpa's Favorite Quadrille," published in Henry Ford's Good Morning where it was credited to E.T. Root and Sons.
