MARY ANNE'S REEL. AKA - "Mary Ann," "Marie Ann." Canadian, Reel. E Major ('A' part) & B Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Composed by Canadian fiddler Ward Allen [1] (1924-1965), who won contest after contest in the mid-20th century and who carved out a career as a radio fiddler.

Ward Allen

The "Marie Ann" title is from French-Canadian fiddler Henri Landry, who had assumed Ward's composition into his repertoire later in life, having learned it from a local fiddler named Claude LaChance.
