CHERRY RIPE QUADRILLE, PART 4. English, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. The "Cherry Ripe Quadrille" was composed by John Weippert and printed in 1827. Weippert was a figure in the popwas much involved in arranging and then directing the dance music of the 1820-40's in London and he published many sets of quadrilles on popular tunes from operas and popular song, sadly information about him is a difficult to find. Clearly he performed for the young Queen Victoria, at Almacks and other major Balls in London.
