MILESTONE [2], THE. AKA and see "Carrigaline," "It's a Hard Road to Travel," "Rocks of Cashel (1)" "Steeplechase (2)." Irish, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was recorded in 1932 in New York by fiddle duo Paddy Killoran and James Morrison as "Steeplechase (2)," which is the most common title for the tune in modern times. The tune was recorded in 19 from the playing of Belfast fidders Sean Maguire and Bill Montgomery by Peter Kennedy (Folktrax FTX-375) in a medley with "Flax in Bloom (The)" and "Dairy Maid (The)."
