Source for notated version: transcribed by Chicago police sergeant and fiddler James O'Neill, originally from County Down. James was an accomplished amateur fiddler and musician, and collaborated with Francis O'Neill (no relation) on his seminal work, Music of Ireland. James himself had a large repertoire, an excellent ear, and was a quick and accurate transcriber.
