MOCCASIN TWO-STEP. American (?), Two-Step. From the playing of the late Joe Robichaud (d. 1999), a fiddler from northern New Hampshire who learned the tune from a trapper friend who claimed he acquired it from a Native American musician. The tune was untitled, so Robichaud invented the name "Moccasin Two-Step" for his version.
