MOLLY OXFORD. AKA and see "Old Molly Oxford (1)." English, Morris Dance Tune (2/2 time). F Major (Bacon-Field Town): G Major (Bacon-Ilmington). Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB (Bacon-Ilmington): AABCBCB (Bacon-Field Town). The tune was collected from dancers in the villages of Field Town (Leafield, Oxfordshire) and Ilmington (Warwickshire), in England's Cotswolds. "Molly Oxford" is also known in Field Town as "Step-Back", which is the name Cecil Sharp gave to the dance due to a distinctive movement.
