HEATHERY CRUACH (An Cruach fraoch). AKA and see "John Mhosey McGinley's Reel," "Maid (The)." Irish, Reel. Ireland, Glencolumbkille and Kilcar area, southwest Donegal. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). Cruach is the Gaelic word for mountain peak. The tune may be sourced to John Mhosey McGinley, a County Donegal fiddle master who died in the early 20th century [James Kelly, 1996].
