MORPETH'S HORNPIPE. AKA and see "Ivy Leaf Hornpipe," "Jim Clark's Hornpipe," "(Jim) Clark's Hornpipe (1)." English (originally), American; Hornpipe. B Flat major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The "Morpeth Hornpipe" is the widespread "Morpeth Rant (1)" in set hornpipe rhythm, although the "Morpeth Rant (1)" tune/title was also played as a hornpipe as well as a reel (see The Athole Collection). The first strain is shared with "Harry Cooper" and "Land League (1)."
