MULVIHILL'S REEL [2]. AKA and see "Derry Craig Wood." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning. AABBCC (Black, Taylor): AA'BB'CC (Alewine). Does not appear to be related to "Mulvihill's Reel (1)." Galway cleric Father P.J. Kelly composed the tune around 1960 as "Derry Craig Wood." The last part is shared with "Father Kelly's Reel (1)," itself originally entitled "Rossmore Jetty (The)." "Derry Craig" was given the nomen "Mulvihill's" due to its having been played at the late accordion player Charlie Mulvihill's house in the Bronx, with no one remembering the original title.
