LOUGHREA JIG, THE. Irish, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The melody is a version of "Frost is all Over (1) (The)," "On a Monday Morning," "Praties are Dug and the Frost is all Over (The)," "What Would You do if the Kettle Boiled Over?/What Would I do if the Kettle Boiled Over," "What Would You do if You Married a Soldier?" Loughrea is the name of both a lake and a town in County Galway.
