Tune properties and standard notation

CATARÖNI. Shetland, Jig. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part (Bain): AABB (Andeson & Georgeson). Perhaps a distanced version of "The Black Joke"--there is some slight melodic similarity, and both tune have parts with ten measures.

Source for notated version: A. Peterson via Larry Peterson (Shetland) [Anderson & Georgeson].

Printed sources: Anderson & Georgeson (Da Mirrie Dancers), 1970; p. 18. Bain (50 Fiddle Solos), 1989; p. 22.
