CAPTAIN REED'S MARCH. AKA and see "3rd Regt. of Guards March," "Garb of Old Gaul (The)." English, March (4/4 time). England, North-West. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The march remains the regimental slow march of the Scots Guards. The title refers to Capt. John Reid, a soldier and composer, who composed the piece as "In the Garb of Old Gaul."
