NEWRY MOUNTAIN. AKA and see "Grá geal mo Chroí." Irish, Air (3/4 time). G Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. "This (tune was) sent to me in 1875 by Mr. W. M'Kimmin of Newry, who says he remembers both from childhood."

At the foot of Newry Mountain clear water does flow,
There lives a wee lassie far whiter than snow;
The blackberry blossom round her fair neck does twine,
She's a nice little girl, and she says she'll be mine" .... [Joyce].
