NOT GONNA GET NO SUPPER HERE TONIGHT. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, Mississippi. G Major. Recorded in 1939 for the Library of Congress by collector Herbert Halpert from the playing of Iuka, Tishomingo County, Mississippi, fiddler John Brown (b. circa 1871). The title, as recorded by Halpert, was "Not a-gonna have no supper here tonight." "Ain't Gonna Get No Supper Here Tonight" is a title variant and refers to a tune collected from Texas fiddlers.
