NORWEGIAN POLKA. AKA and see "Bergen Polka (The)." Scottish, Norwegian; Polka. Scotland, Orkney Islands. D Major ('A' and 'C' parts) & D Minor ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'CC'. Christine Martin (2002) says source Mainland picked up the 2nd part of the tune while on tour in Norway with Orkney fiddler Hugh Inkster (1910-1988) many years ago. The tune is called "The Bergen Polka" in Norway.
