OLD AMZI ECCLES TUNE. AKA and see "Voulez Vous Danser{, Mademoiselle}" "Soldier's Glory (The)," "Life of a Soldier (The)," "Nine-pins (2)/Ninepins (2)." American, March (6/8 time). USA, southwestern Pa. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. This air has been known both as a dance and march air. The Pennsylvania version given by Bayard has collapsed two of the parts that appear in older printed versions into one. Amzi Eccles was an old Monongahela City, Pa., fifer and band leader.
