OLD AS THE HILLS [2]. AKA and see "Braes of Glenorchy (2)," "Hills of Glenorchy (1)," "Jolly Corkonian (The)," "Man in the Moon (3) (The)," "Over the Hills." Irish, Jig. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Martin Mulvihill gives this tune as an accompaniment for the dance The Haymakers' Jig. The tune was recorded by fiddler Neil O'Boyle in Dublin in 1937 as "Over the Hills"; Mulvihill's title "Old as the Hills" may simply be a miss-hearing.
