OLD OXFORD. English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was first published in 1735 in London by John Walsh in his Third Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (p. 199), and also appears in the c. 1749 edition of the same work.
