OLD OXFORD. AKA - "Owld Oxfford," "Peace and Plenty or Old Oxford." English, Country Dance Tune (cut time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was first published in 1719 by John Young in his Second Volume of the Dancing Master [1], 3rd edition, under the title "Peace and Plenty, or Old Oxford." Later it was printed in London by John Walsh in his Third Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (1735, p. 199), and also appears in the c. 1749 edition of the same work.
