OLD PLANTATION GIRLS. American, Slip Jig. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Identified by 18th century Glasgow publisher James Aird as "Virginian." There is nothing particularly American in the melody's character, however, and probably has a British or Irish provenance.
