OLD RED. Old-Time, Two-Step. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Both parts contain irregular measures. "Old Red" was recorded by Mississippi fiddler Hoyt Ming with his band The Pep Steppers, whose members consisted of his family: Hoyt (fiddle), wife Rozelle (guitar) and brother Troy (mandolin). They recorded several sides in their single recording session in 1928, but were "rediscovered" in the 1960's.
