LAME FISHERMAN, THE (Iasgaire bacac, An). AKA and see "Emlagation Reel," "Girl with the Laughing Eyes (The)," "Paddy Killoran's (1)," "Sweeney's Dream." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (O'Neill/1850): AABB (O'Neill/Krassen). The reel was recorded under the title "Sweeney's Dream" by the fiddle duo of Paddy Killoran and Paddy Sweeney in 1937 in New York. However, Killoran had previously recorded the tune as "Emlagation Reel" in his 1935 Decca recording of the medley "Old Dudeen (The)," "On the Road to Lurgan," and "Emlagation Reel." Emlagation was Killoran's hometown, near Ballymote, County Sligo.
