ON THE SLY (Faoi yoin meise). AKA and see "Lochiel's Rant," "Mountain Rose." Irish, Reel. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The 'A' part is the same as that of "Gossan that beat his father (The)," and Glasgow publisher James Aird's "Lochiel's Awa' to France (but he'll come again)" (in Selections of Scotch, English, Irish and Foreign Airs, vol. 1, 1782).
