YOUNG MAN'S DREAM, THE (“Aisling an t-Og-Fir” or “Aislean an Oigfear”). AKA and see "When that mild eye is beaming," "As a beam o'er the face of the waters." Irish, "Very Slow" Air (3/4 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody appears in the Bunting Collection, and is thought to be the original for the renowned “Danny Boy” (“Londonderry/Derry Air”).
