YOUNG PHILLIS. English, Country Dance Tune (3/2 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. “Young Phillis” appears in London publisher John Young’s Second Volume of the Dancing Master series, but not until the third edition of 1718 (it was retained for the fourth edition of 1728, the end of the series). London publisher John Walsh picked up the tune for his Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing Master (1719).
