REEL [15]. Irish, Reel (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The reel is an untitled piece in the music manuscript collection of County Leitrim musician Stephen Grier (No. 131). Rev. John Quinn finds that the second strain is shared with the second strain of "Gladstone's Bill (2)," from County Longford sources. However, he believes that, since "Gladstone's Bill (1)" also appears in the Grier manuscript, "Gladstone's Bill (2)" is a composite of the two strains; the first from Grier's "Gladstone Bill (1)" and the second from Grier's No. 131 (given here as "Reel (15)."
