OSSUN TWO-STEP. AKA - "Ossun One-Step." Cajun, Two-Step. USA, Louisiana. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). BBAA (in this tune the 'B' part, or turn, is played first). Ossun was once a small country village north of Scott, Louisiana, nearby the location of the only two dance halls between Lafayette and Carencro. Lawrence Walker also recorded an early version of this melody. A related song is "Opelousas Two-Step," according to Raymond Francois (1990).
